Hello, and welcome to Nomadic Grace.

I am a writer, and a fighter. I believe in freedom and equality and love and exploration.

I think I believe in faith. Maybe.

A little bit of background: I’ve been intrigued by mythology and religions for most of my life. I grew up in an Eastern Orthodox Church but started to question my beliefs in high school. Those beliefs were quickly squashed in college when I joined a controlling evangelical church and spent the next four years “on fire for God.” Or whatever. That fire burned out and revealed a giant mess of a church, a giant mess of questions, and a giant mess of me.

Like many in my generation, I drifted away from this kind of rigid faith and became an ex-vangelical, or a spiritual nomad.

I don’t pretend to be any sort of expert on religion, and I certainly am not claiming any sort of authority on any of the topics I write about. But I write to make sense of all these crazy things that matter, in the hopes that I’ll find some sort of home in the wilderness of my mind, and some solidarity with others on the same path.
